Fun atmosphere great appetizers and a spectacular selection of craft beers

This is my favorite place for comfort foods. The cheeseburgers at Guido’s are the best in town, hands down. The nachos are also killer. They have an excellent selection of boozy shakes, or you can get a classic type milkshake - also very delicious. To top it off, they serve a great New York cheesecake. If you want something lighter or whatever, the Cobb salad is also great. The service is wonderful. If you do not want meat on it, they will substitute it for extra avocado!Beware that the lunchtime atmosphere is very different from the nighttime atmosphere. It’s pretty chill at lunch. At night it tends to be loud and sometimes crowded. It’s a great place - I cannot blame them for drawing a crowd, but I tend to prefer Guido’s at lunchtime.

Good short order sandwich menu. Food was fresh, I was in a time crunch and they had my order out in no time. Good craft beer on draught selection too. Lots of TVs. You'll like it!

My boyfriend and I ordered Bloody Mary's, boozy milkshakes and the chicken nachos. Everything was amazing--food, waitress, atmosphere. Will definitely come back many times!

I walked in several times on lunch breaks and asked for a BLT as fast as they could get one out. They had me out the door fast with my food on multiple occasions. For that they aren't bad. The things I didnt like are this-A few waitresses don't like cigarette smoke at all and wont approach your table outside if you're smoking. I'm not sorry as a customer for enjoying myself.Some prices are very much appropriate, others aren't. The same meals they make can be gotten cheaper elsewhere with better taste. I understand the bar is an atmosphere you pay to enjoy, but there would be more people with a little price cut on certain items. Champaign is full of other bars with more to offer. Stand out.Overall- its not a bad place. A few changes need to be made for a more customer friendly environment.

Not sure how this place has 4 stars. The milk shakes were good but honestly everything else (food, service, establishment) was sub par. With all the restaurants on this street I wish we had stopped somewhere else. One example of the service: after we orders beers for the table it took about 20 minutes to get them. The restaurant was empty...

When it's lunchtime, nice outside and you are in downtown Champaign, stop in to Guido's to give their menu a go. Their outside patio is the largest in downtown, so there is plenty of room to stretch out and breathe.I have had several of their menu items, from the burger to the Philly. It is all good. Their fries are unique tasting. Can't quite put my finger on it, but they are just unique. They also have eggplant fries, who knew a vegetable would be so good.This bar and grill is as close to a sports bar as there is downtown. Plenty of TV's to watch the game. Sports go sports! Their appetizer selection is good for a crowd of friends who just need a little something to tide them over till it's time to stumble home. Plus, Guido's has Wings.

Terrible service, waited for 10 minutes to get a menu, never got one, never got anything.. did get to watch a bunch of over served "customers" feeling each other up at the "bar". Looked more like a free-for-all. Server walked by us 3 or 4 times talking on her phone. Ended up getting some great service and excellent food and beverage down the street at a place called Watsons.

Ate here for dinner on a weeknight. They have a very nice patio for seating. The staff was friendly and helpful. Service was fast, accurate and professional. The food was ok but not great. Would like to see a larger selection of local craft beers. The restrooms were nasty dirty.

Great music, service, food, and drinks! Always a great place to be on a Friday or Saturday night. Danielle is our favorite bartender! She's very knowledgeable and always has a smile on her face. Thanks for past and present great experiences to come!

I attended a private party downstairs at Guido's. I was concerned that the space would be basement like and not very nice. I was pleasantly surprised to find a very inviting space and large bar. The space is Great for a private event. I would highly recommend to any age group for any semi large event. We received great service.

Nice bar, we sat in the outdoor patio which is perfect for a summer day as it is on the north and west sides of the building, the west side shielded fro the pm sun by the building across the street. Good food choices and quality, great service, and very dog friendly patio.

Eggplant fries are fantastic, and the burgers are great. I think onion rings are yummy but a bit expensive compared to how much you get. Grilled cheese is my SOs go-to and he said the veggie burger was pretty good. The staff is wonderful, would recommend.

Crowd-pleaser menus, and the dishes and drinks I've had here have been satisfying. The prices are a little high for value, and the indoor ambiance is a bit lacking. Events are frequently held downstairs (trivia, occasional performances, even a burlesque show) but the space is not well designed for an audience. The patio area is spacious enough to allow many diners the opportunity to enjoy good weather.

Great place to meet new people. I would like if they added bacon wrapped jalapeno poppers to the menu though. Reasonable drink prices and nice bartenders.

Not sure why a company who owns many restaurants in the Champaign area thought promoting a server who has basically zero experience running a full service restaurant to General Manager was a good idea. This place is going downhill fast.

Do not go here. A few weeks after visiting this bar I checked my credit card statement and realized that one of the bartenders must have changed the tip amount because I was charged far more than what I should have been. When I called the bar, I was surprised to hear, "for credit card discrepancies, press three." The fact that this is on their automated phone menu is alarming. It must be so common for their bartenders to do this that they had to add it. This tells you a lot about the integrity of the bar and their employees. There are a lot of bars within walking distance from Guido's. Go anywhere else.

Cool place to go, great Reuben and buffalo chicken sandwiches. Not too many options other than burgers, sandwiches, and salads though.

The Philly steak at Guido's is one of the better ones I've had. It was better than the State or County Fair Philly steaks. The waitress was very attentive and checked on us multiple times. The food came out quick and hot as well as it is a large open comfortable space to eat in. I will definitely be back to Guido's.

Good bar food, well-run. Nice place to watch college football on Saturday afternoon.

An overpriced average bar. Service was good bar tops and floor where sticky. Drinks were o.k. but weak.

I will give one star because of the fact that we were not able to order food or drinks so perhaps they are very good. We arrived here with a party of 13 and opted to sit outside, the staff assembled an area for us which was nice. We waited for a server to wait on us for about 10 minutes but no one showed up. We finally asked for a server and a young man approached us and dropped off menus, when we asked him if we could order entrees he informed us that he would be getting off in an hour and wasn’t going to be taking our order. We approached the manager and informed him of the situation and he said verbatim: “oh well he’s (the server) is probably tired bc he’s getting off soon” ??? I’ve never experienced service like this at a restaurant/bar. I will not return

Their burgers are amazing. And the boozy shakes also add a great twist to the menu.

Their Friday beer batter fish didn't disappoint. Very large filet on a perfectly toasted bun with all the trimmings. I opted for onion rings. They were good but not the best I've had. Waitress was amazing.

Stopped in for my husband's birthday dinner. Our server was Jess and she was amazing! Very friendly,recommended the best drinks and gave great service. 5 stars based on her service! The nacho dip helped! It was pretty tasty

The wings I ordered looked like they were from several days ago. They were so dried out and hard. The bar seemed nice but I would not order their food.

If you don’t like burgers and sandwiches, don’t come here because that is 80% of the menu. But damn they are some good burgers, and the nachos were loaded with cheesy goodness. Service was fast even when they were super busy. All around a great experience.
